Bitter Ball Negroni Contest
To cap off Negroni Month, at ViA VECCHiA,
we are doing our 3rd Annual Bitter Ball Negroni Contest.
In keeping with our international Negroni Passport theme we will be selecting five of Maine’s top bartenders (that are not Miranda Restaurant Group employees) to compete.
Details:
- Below there is an entry form for you to submit an internationally themed Negroni. What is an internationally themed Negroni? To be honest we are a little loosey-goosey with that definition. Basically, what would the Negroni be like if it had been created somewhere other than Italy.
- All drinks must include a base spirit, a bitter, and a fortified wine. Also, all drinks must include either Campari or Aperol. Outside of that, go wild. Shake it, stir, blend it, fruit it, bop it, and hit with the ole Texas Twister. Like I said, loosey-goosey.
- All entries must be in by Sept 1st, and we announce the contestants on September 4th.
- Contest will be on September 29th.
- Outsiders only, no Miranda Restaurant Group employees.
- We will anonymously select the contestants, based on how cool we think their drink will be.
- For the event itself bartentenders will make sample drinks for the guests, and a panel of judges.
- After the first round we will select two finalists to go head to head to decide this year’s champion.
- Sponsor’s MRG and Campari Southern Glazer.
